Man, I almost forgot how much I really liked BC’s solo album. Luke and I went to see him in 2005, and it was probably the best concert I’ve ever been to. I also saw the “new” Smashing Pumpkins in 2008. It was awesome too, but there is definitely something great about Corgan 2005..

More planning, nothing definite..

It seems every time I come to write something here it’s just about planning.. One minute I think I’m off to Vienna, the next to Paris, then London, and now I’m totally screwed as to where I’m going once I leave Switzerland! I’ve also been invited to Roskilde Festival in Denmark, which is ridiculously far away and damn expensive, so I guess I’ll give it a miss.

A friend of mine sent me a message the other day asking if I would like to accompany her on a road trip around Italy and the south of France. She’s been there for a couple of weeks already, and it would go on for a month or 2. I think that sounds like the best and most practical option, since she actually lives in Berlin! We could drive back up there together and I could find a flat.

Anyway, as usual, nothing is certain except that I am DEFINITELY leaving d’Schwiiz on the 3rd of July. I made that promise to myself, and I don’t feel comfortable living at Denise’s place for free longer than 2 months. I always seem to manage free places to stay, don’t I? I guess that makes me a “scab”..

Brent’s WebTV Show

I’m going to start a WebTV show later this year. Not sure what it’s going to be called, but it’s going to be fun. After watching hours and hours of tomgreen.com, I figure that I’d love to do some kind of broadcasting like that, just making a fool of myself live on air!

My idea is to buy an HD camcorder and just shoot random interviews with people on the streets of Berlin. Actually, if I buy one soon I could shoot some footage in Italy (or wherever I end up), though I don’t know if I’d want to spend that kind of cash so soon.

So, yeah, I’d just do silly shit on the streets with random people, then invite the more interesting/entertaining ones back to my studio/flat to drink some beers and have a more in-depth interview. I think it could be really cool, especially with a cool host like me (HA!). We could do a weekly cooking segment, and even a party segement where we go out and film drunk people talking shit!

Anyway, it’s still a couple of months away, and I have a lot more work to do before then.

So, I finally figured out what I need to do to legally move to Berlin. Thank God for that because I was starting to stress about it!

I’ll fly to the UK sometime in July, then back to the continent in early August. This will give me a fresh 90 stay visa waiver stamp in my passport for the whole Schengen Area. After 90 days I’ll fly back to Oz and apply for a Working Holiday Visa for Finland, which will give me another 90 days in the Schengen Area, and a year in Finland. After 90 days in Berlin I’ll have to go to Finland, but by then who knows what the plan will be!

I just saw on BBC that Australia is probably going to avoid a technical recession. Impressive. We’ll have to see what the numbers say tomorrow.

It’s the 2nd day of Summer today, and it’s actually COLD! It’s rainy and windy, kind of like a cool, wet Autumn day in SE Queensland. Ridiculous!

Anyway, just another entry to keep you up to date.
